New Life, New Purpose
“1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1-2
God desires for us to be CO-LABORERS with Him and He wants to do a LIFE CHANGING work in us. He has taken our old lives of SIN with the LUST and PRIDE therein and has given us a NEW LIFE with a brand NEW SONG to sing. (1 Cor 3:9; 2 Cor 5:17; Eph 2:10)
With our NEW LIFE comes new desires or a NEW PURPOSE, and characteristics that are against our SINFUL nature. In fact, this “OLD MAN” or old nature, fights against our “NEW MAN” that Christ has PAID to make us to be. Therefore we must STRIVE, and be PURPOSEFULLY DILIGENT (in other words: being engaged on purpose) to daily put on the NEW MAN which is found in Christ Jesus. (Gal 5:17; 1 Cor 15:31)
The Lord has given us a theme for this church out of the second epistle of Peter (Simon) stating:
“but grow in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18
There is no greater PURPOSE in life than the complete, humble submission of a broken heart that brings GLORY to the Lord our God. What better way to glorify God than by GROWING in His GRACE and in the KNOWLEDGE of His Son JESUS CHRIST, the one who died to make you HOLY.
In this world full of DISTRESS, you can rest assured in the FAITHFUL and EVERLASTING word of God. For in the Holy Bible are the answers to life’s mysteries of God’s GRACE and of the KNOWLEDGE of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
2 Peter 3:18 (KJV)
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” ~John 8:12
